BOT Project Knowledge and Basic Concepts

BOT stands for Build-Operate-Transfer. In international financing domain, BOT doesn’t only contain the process of building, operating and transferring, the more important point is that BOT is a project-financing means with limited recourse. Because of this limited recourse character of BOT project, debt of BOT project is not counted into the project shareholders’ balance sheet, thus the shareholders can raise money for more projects and BOT is widely welcomed and adopted by stock bidders.
